Air distribution
Grilles, ducts, and plenum
The ducting carries cool air into the cabins and other onboard spaces.
The air conditioner's capacity must be accompanied by proper air distribution. Insufficient diameters, too-tight curves, undersized intakes, or inadequate grilles can increase pressure losses, noise, and temperature differences between rooms.
Blue-Airco offers a modular system of ducts, dividers, reductions, plenums, transition boxes, and supply and return grilles, designed to fit the spaces and furnishings of boats.
The range includes insulated flexible ducts in diameters from 80 to 152 mm and grilles in aluminum, teak, black, or white, with rectangular, round, closable, directional, and low-profile solutions.

Accessories for air distribution are ideal for…
Single cabins, saloons, and multi-zone systems on sailboats, motorboats, and catamarans, both in new constructions and during a refit.
The modular system allows air to be distributed to one or more vents, overcome space constraints, and integrate grilles and returns into the onboard furniture.

Multizone Control Kit
When a single unit must serve two distinct environments, the Multizone Control Kit automatically manages the direction and intensity of the flow, creating two independent climate zones without interfering with the refrigeration circuit.
Range advantages
Complete modular system
Pipes, fittings, dividers, reducers, plenum, and grilles can be combined according to the required configuration.
Insulated flexible duct
The reinforced structure and insulating layer help to contain heat exchange and protect the path of the treated air.
Distribution over multiple outlets
Y and T fittings allow splitting the flow, while reducers connect pipes of different diameters.
Plenums adaptable to furnishings
Transition boxes and modular plenums facilitate the connection between duct and grille even in confined spaces.
Coordinated supply and return
Four-way discharge grilles, which can be closed and directed, are available, as well as intake grilles with filters.
Finishes for different interiors
Aluminum, real teak applied to the profile, painted black, and round white or black versions allow the component to blend into the cabin design.
Compact solutions
Low-profile grilles and plenums are recommended when the depth available behind the panel is limited.
Insulated flexible ducts
The duct is made up of a harmonic steel spiral embedded in a 100 μm polyethylene layer, a polyester insulating mat with a density of 16 kg/m³ and a thickness of 25 mm, and an external 100 μm PVC coating.
Fittings, dividers, and plenum
Y and T dividers in ABS: available in diameters 100, 125, and 150 mm, to distribute the flow to multiple branches.
Air reductions: combinations of 150, 125, or 100 mm down to smaller diameters, up to 80 mm.
Terminal fittings: oval versions in 4″, 5″, and 6″, and round versions in 3″ and 4″.
Transition boxes in black PVC: two sizes for grilles of 200 × 100 mm, 300 × 100 mm, and 300 × 125 mm.
Modular plenums: components that can be combined and assembled according to the duct layout and project requirements.
