Elba 45 catamaran with 48V DC system without generator

On a Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 cruising catamaran equipped with a 48V lithium battery bank, Blue-Airco has created an entirely direct current system to air-condition cabins and the salon. Units and pumps operate at the same voltage as the onboard battery bank, integrating multi-cabin comfort with the boat's energy architecture and reducing dependence on the generator.

On a 1982 Mariner 38, undergoing a refit in New Zealand, a 12V DC Blue-Airco unit was integrated into the forward cabin using an unused space in the existing layout. The project documents the choices related to ventilation, the seawater circuit, and power supply from the service battery bank, along with the results obtained during night tests.
